MS FOOTBALL RUNS RECORD TO 2-1

The High Plains-Osceola middle school football team ran their record to 2-1 with a 24-14 victory at East Butler on September 22. The Storm got off to a fast start scoring all their points in the first half. A long run by Keaton Van Housen early in the first drive set up High Plains-Osceola with a first and goal to go situation. Griffin Hendricks scored the opening touchdown on a 2 yard quarterback sneak with Josiah Ohlman running in the 2-pt conversion for an early 8-0 lead.  East Butler came right back and scored on a 45 yard pass and run to pull within 8-6. High Plains FFA to Sponsor Blood Drive

On Friday, October 24, 2014 the High Plains FFA chapter will sponsor a blood drive with the help of the American Red Cross at the Polk Community Center from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Our goal is to collect 35 units of blood throughout the day.  Community members can call the school (402) 765-3331 to make an appointment. The Red Cross will provide the High Plains Community Schools with a $250 scholarship for a graduating senior if we meet our goal of 35 units collected.  Please consider helping the FFA members with this service activity. read more
